In response to the fourth anniversary of Nasty Women’s inception and since this is an election year, our theme responds to the ritualistic and performative aspects of protest. Protest that is fueled by the marginalization of bodies and voices across the globe.

Can magic be understood as a different type of power, a way to combat political power that threatens many of our communities?


This year, Ely Center celebrates Women’s History Month with In Grace We Trust, an exhibition that confronts themes of power, agency, the human body, and modernity in homage to Grace Taylor Ely, the philanthropist who left her home as a contemporary art center for the greater good.

SSFS Community (Adults) Art Exhibit

Art show of works by parents, faculty, staff, and alumni of Sandy Spring Friends School.
