Let's Face It

Since November of 2016, my work is focusing on portraits of people who work or worked for the current US president. These pieces are receiving recognition. Two pieces were included in the People and Places exhibit at Arts Center East (ACE), Vernon, CT. One piece was in the 87th Connecticut Women's National Show also at ACE. One piece was in Denver at the Spark Gallery.

Three of these works are now hanging at Art League of New Britain's (ALNB) 27th Annual Members' Carriage House Show.

I use trash and found objects as my medium. Let's face it. Art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder. To some, the symbolism of these works is that they are made of trash; for others it may be that I'm turning trash into treasures.

Come take a look and decide for yourself. ALNB is open to visitor Saturday and Sunday 1 - 4 p.m. and Wednesday 4 - 7 p.m. This show will run through October 29, 2017. The address is 30 Cedar St, New Britain, CT. The opening is this Friday, October 13, 6 - 8 p.m.
