Many artists are directly addressing the coronavirus through their work. I'm not one of them. I have a backlog of ideas, though I am collecting portraits of some people who died or shattered other people's lives with the decisions they've made regarding this virus. (Think South Dakota Gov. Kristi L. Noem (R).)
Here's a link to an article about artists who are paying tribute to Dr. Anthony Fauci. https://hyperallergic.com/554171/anthony-fauci/?fbclid=IwAR0H26YNEmOA9FGqyq3_8B2L3AblxmHMbE5LJH0ku1Zs9T1L2234v4p1Mbs
This portrait below of Tom Price, former Health and Human Services Secretary, is as close as I've come to creating a tribute to someone involved in healthcare.
Tom Price resigned under pressure after racking up at least $400,000 in travel bills for chartered flights and for his inability to dismantle the Affordable Care Act – one of the president’s main campaign promises.
Resigned: September 29, 2019
