When Mr. Perry was running for the Republican presidential nomination, he said that he would eliminate the Department of Energy. Then, in 2017, he was nominated and confirmed to run this very department. He denies that man-made carbon dioxide emissions are the primary cause of climate change. He thinks ocean waters and the environment we live in are the primary controls of Earth’s temperature and, thus, responsible for global warming, not human activity. This portrait is made of found and recycled materials and daily debris that impacts our environment because most of these materials aren’t recyclable or reusable and don’t break down.
