Sean Spicer served as the first White House Press Secretary in the first Trump administration. He was known for contentious briefings and defending challenged statements.
This mixed-media assemblage, made entirely from discarded, non-recyclable materials, examines political messaging, accountability, and public trust. Using food packaging and other debris, the work creates an image without paint, relying on the colors and textures of reclaimed materials. Just as press secretaries tend to shred the truth, I tore the materials I used in this portrait.
