The yellowtail damselfish changes colors over time. It starts as a vibrant blue with lighter blue iridescent spots. At first, its tail is almost transparent. As it ages, the tail turns yellow, and the brightness of the body and spots fades. At its terminal phase, the body of this fish is brown, but the tail is still yellow. This work represents the yellowtail damselfish in its most colorful glory. Underlying the beauty is the reminder that human byproducts (trash) harm the ocean and the environment of this fish.
